Route:  Follow public access route and footpaths via Newton Meadows to Pwllmeyric; descending along scenic valley footpath and along flood plain to Mounton Church, Ticken Hill & Kite's Bushes. Visiting the site of Runston Medieval Village back to Millers Arms for lunch. This walk will be led by Des Thompson, a friend of Paula and Richard. Des will show show and discuss points of geological and historical interest on the walk.

Route:  Ancient Byways and lanes of Symonds Yat West. Forest tracks to the Ancient Settlement in Lords Woods. Back to the cars via the Seven Sisters Rocks and King Arthurs Cave. No stiles, mostly easy walking under foot. Two short slippy descents and three steady climbs.

Route:  Past Ewyas Harold Motte and Bailey, over field and around Prior’s wood, wooded valley to Dulas Court, up and over Ewyas Harold Common to Abbey Dore, (Through deer park), past Dore Abbey and climb back up and over Ewyas Harold Common to return to the Dog Inn for Lunch. Stiles, moderate climbs and some rough ground).

Brief outline of route: Mainly easy walking on hard forest tracks. Visiting the Suck Stone, Near Hearkening Rock, Standing Stone, the village of Staunton and the Buck Stone. Great views. One shortish steep climb and one longer more gradual climb. One stile.

Route:  The walk starts at this well preserved Norman castle which can be explored at the finish. The walk follows parts of Offa's Dyke Path and the Three Castles Walk and passes along the banks of the river Trothy. Several Stiles.

Route:  From Wilton car park bus stop at 10-17am (or any other convenient stop) catch the bus from Hereford to Gloucester, (bring your bus pass if you have one). Alight at the Weston Cross Inn. Walk via Kingstone Court across fields to Ross Campsite/track behind Morrisons to 'The Ropewalk' and back to Wilton along the river bank. 8 stiles and mostly field margins.

Route:  This walk takes us back to the circular variety after three linear walks.  Southern end of the Malverns, cross M50 and follow footpaths to Pendock and then re-cross the M50 and return to Hollybush.  Some climbing at beginning and end.  Leaders will meet the walkers at the parking place.

Route:  Linear walk, with initial parking at Dalcross. Cars will be used to ferry walkers to Rudford with drivers being taken back to Rudford to collect cars at the end. Fields, tracks and woods to Cliffords Mesne and back to Kilcot, finishing with celebratory tea at Dalcross. Leaders will meet the group at the parking place.

A long gradual ascent with two short steeper stretches and some flatter sections back to the cars. Lovely views, including the Malverns. 14 Stiles.

Route:  Lane and across field path to picnic site for coffee. Through woods and village to Dog and Muffler. One stile, one slope up, two slopes down.

Route:  From Bridges to Vauxhall, Ancre Hill, then up into Kings Wood, back to Monmouth through Lady Grove. Good views over Monmouth. Nothing very steep, but there are a number of stiles of varying heights.

Route: The walk begins from the site of the abbey, crossing an ancient common to nearby Ewyas Harold. The return is by a roundabout route above the neighbouring Dulas Valley. Several steady climbs with a dozen or so stiles.

Route: Circular walk to include Treowen House, Whitehill Farm and Offa's Dyke Path. Two steep climbs, total ascent of 730 feet, no stiles.
