Route: Join us for a short walk and lunch to get the New Year started. We’ll be leaving the Wilton car park at 10.00 to park in the Red Lion (Peterstow) car park for quick coffee in the pub before a 10.30 departure. An easy walk down to Lower Grove Common, across fields to Peterstow Church then back through Old High Town. A distance of three miles with two short ascents and three stiles. Lunch at the Red

Route:  Much of Poets' Path No.1 - Cobhill Rough, Durbridge Ketford, Dymock and Ryton. Gently undulating with a few stiles.

Route:  Fabulous views over the rivers Severn & Wye at the Eagles Nest viewpoint. A stretch of the Wye Valley Walk over the Wynd Cliff is followed by a section along a rocky track and then a pleasant walk along quiet lanes. Initial steep climb of the 365 steps. One short steep descent.

Route:  Picking up the Hunderton Railway Viaduct out to Grafton and then across to Bullinghope Church. Fields, an orchard and tracks will take us up to the Iron Age Hill Fort "Dinedor Camp". We return via further fields and tracks and finally enjoy a riverside walk along the south bank. Some great views including the City of Hereford (bring your binoculars). 8 stiles. One moderate ascent and descent.

Route:  Upton Bishop to Hole in the Wall via Perrystone Hill and Yatton Wood following parts of the Herefordshire Trail and Ross Round. Lovely views. 2 steep climbs, many stiles, some very difficult.

Route:  Lydbrook-Swallowvalets-Hangerberry Hill. Follows old tramways and railway lines for some of the walk, also part of the Wysis Way. Walk goes high up the east side of the Lyd Valley, then through quiet woodland and returns high up the west side of the valley with views and glimpses of some of Lydbrook's listed buildings. Some steps up and down and several short ascents and descents. A few stiles.

Route:  Walk to Cantilupe Road bus stop (0.9miles via the Rope Walk) to catch Mitcheldean bus No. 24 at 09:45am. Members that live south of Ross can catch it from Tudorville at 0949am then walk home from Wilton at the end. Walk from Bishopswood Village Hall using Bridal Path around Leys Hill. Past Coughton (drained) Marsh and The Homme back along the riverbank to Wilton.Lovely views. 12 stiles, 4 of which are step though on 2 bridges and 1 short steep and 1 moderate ascent. If flooded the walk will be moved onto higher ground e.g.Arbour Hill and John Kyrle Walk.

Superb views of Marcle Ridge, Sugar Loaf and the Black Mountains. About 20 stiles and a couple of footbridges. Three steady climbs.

Route:  Follow Offa's Dyke path up Redbrook Hill. Field paths around Newland with a visit to the Church, known as the Cathedral of the Forest. Follow a lovely valley back to Redbrook. Good views. 14 Stiles

Taking in three most southerly hills of Malvern range.  Starting from Hollybed Common, mainly gentle ascent to Chase End Hill, steep descent to Whiteleaved Oak, steep ascent to Ragged Stone Hill.  An easier alternative route will be available, around lower flanks of Ragged Stone Hill.  Finally steady ascent to Midsummer Hill and gentle walk back to Hollybed Common.

Bus to Peterstow, Herefordshire Trail down to Sellack suspension bridge.  Follow the Wye through How Caple and Brampton Abbotts and back to Ross.  Easy walking with a few stiles.
